I read a great quote today! It said, “We don’t follow the elephant; we don’t follow the donkey; we follow the Lamb.” In a world filled with voices that call us to follow this cause or to follow that cause, and each makes a promise of a better future, it is easy to get distracted and even confused.
When we follow the Lamb, Jesus Christ, we are following the greatest cause that the human race has ever known. The cause, sharing Jesus Christ with the world. Our cause comes with a promise of an incredible future that is beyond description and comprehension, and the Promise Maker is capable and faithful to fulfill His promises, one and all.
There is a contingency though, we have to surrender our allegiance to the Lamb and stand by our commitment. We can’t change allegiances when the going gets tough or when we don’t like a decision that is made, or when we feel that too much is being required of us.
We need to be faithful to pray for those who lead our nation, but we need to be sure that our allegiances are in the right place. Who are you following today? If it is not the Lamb, I challenge you to stop, evaluate where your heart is and then set it on the right track, because the Lamb is the only one who will be faithful, true and able to come through on every promise made.
Blessings!
